- When seedlings are 2 to 3 inches high, thin to 12 to 24 inches apart.
- Replant thinned plants.
- Plant in a sunny location with well drained soil
- Keep plants moderately moist.
- Cut the flower stalks after the first bloom to encourage formation of a second spike.
