Watercress microgreens produce a bundle of stems with small, thin, glossy leaves. These tender sprouts have a bold and peppery flavour which is comparable to mustard or radish. Often used to add to variety of dishes, Watercress packs a spicy kick to salads, stir fries and soups. These microgreens are nutrient dense and include vitamins A, C and E.

Our microgreen and sprouting seeds are untreated, non-GMO, and have undergone rigorous laboratory testing for pathogens.

Description

Watercress – Growing Instructions

Sow your seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium, which is 3-4cm deep.
Lightly mist the seeds with water.
Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray
Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in.
Blackout for 4-5 days and gently mist when the soil is dry.
Once the seeds are 1-2cm, they should be ready to be placed in a well-lit location.
When watering the seedlings, keep using the bottom tray.
Harvest between day 7-12 or when the seedlings are 5cm tall. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
