Parsley Italian Giant – Growing Instructions

1. Soak the seed for 1 hour in room temperature water, then rinse and drain thoroughly.
2. Sow the seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium.
3. Cover the seeds and lightly mist with water.
4. Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray.
5. Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in. Then place a weight inside to encourage the roots to grow down and to help the seeds make good contact with the growing medium.
6. Leave the seeds undisturbed for 2 days, there will be enough moisture in the tray for the seedlings. If more water is added, then it increases the chance of mould growing.
7. On day 2-3, check the seeds to see if they’ve germinated. If the soil is dry, then water from the bottom or mist.
8. Keep the tray in the blackout period until they are about 1cm tall and then place in a well-lit location.
9. When watering the seedlings, using the bottom tray.
10. Harvest when the seedlings are 5-7cm. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
